How long does container refurbishment typically take?
A standard 20ft container refurbishment takes 5–7 working days. For 40ft containers or those requiring structural repairs, allow 8–12 days. Custom modifications and conversion projects are scoped individually, typically ranging from 10–21 days. We operate 24/7 to meet tight deadlines.
What certifications do refurbished containers receive?
All BSS-refurbished containers eligible for international transport receive a fresh CSC (Container Safety Convention) plate. We also provide IICL inspection reports, quality certificates, and paint specification sheets. Container grade and fitness certification follows ISO 1496 standards.
Do you offer pickup and delivery across India?
Yes. We coordinate container logistics from all major ports including JNPT (Nhava Sheva), Chennai, Mundra, and Vizag. Our logistics partners handle pickup, transportation to our yard in Navi Mumbai, and final delivery to your site or port terminal.
What warranty do you offer on refurbished containers?
BSS Shipping provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on all structural repairs and a 24-month warranty on marine-grade paint and surface treatment. Warranty claims are assessed on-site or at our yard. Exclusions apply for damage caused after delivery.
Can containers be customised after refurbishment?
Absolutely. We offer end-to-end custom modification services including partition walls, electrical fit-out, plumbing, insulation, ventilation, windows, and roller shutters. Popular conversions include site offices, cold rooms, portable clinics, and pop-up retail units.
